My People

Last year, a photography student asked me if my family would model for one of her assignments? At first I was like, “No! I hate the way I look!” Then I remembered all the things I tell my own clients like:

  • You need to leave photos for your future generations.
  • Your children will only look like this once.
  • There’s not a single thing wrong with you.
  • The people who love you only see you.

So I sucked it up and accepted to do the shoot. It took a while to get the photos back. Then, I committed the ultimate photography client crime – I placed them in a folder on my computer and totally forgot about them!

Today as I was backing up my files, I came across said folder and now I’m sharing a few of the photos of my adorable little family. I must say, my two people are truly perfect! I need to get with one of my photographer friends and do a formal shoot of us.

So with that said – Support your local art community and students! No matter where they are in their experience and career, we’re all artists.
