Once upon a time, this one dude I happened to cross paths with in life told me, “Vas a terminar sola porque eres muy rebelde.”
Of course there’s more context to the story, but in that moment I just answered, “I don’t care.” And I meant it.
You see, somewhere along the line I reached a point where I had to choose me. Not the popular opinion amongst others because nobody likes it when the good girl is defiant, but that’s what happens when you go against the grain.
Anyways, a few years ago while I was in art school I dreamt up this phrase, “Rebelde hasta la muerte” and I had this image of what it would look like. Then I dreamt up more things that would go with it. Afterwards I kept realizing all these things I wanted to say are just me telling my story. And I want to say it loud and say it proud!
I messed around with different things for a few weeks and eventually I made my Rebelde HLM logo. It’s me in every way! It’s classic lettering that’s supposed to be conservative and traditional, but a little roughed up because it’s like me – I’m a little damaged and perfectly unperfect. Then I added my spray paint-style HLM because I could imagine just passing by with a can of spray paint and tagging something like this. This is something that was meant to be perfect, but still rocks even with its imperfections. Best of all, it’s the fearless that I want to fight for every day.

So anyways, I MADE STICKERS!!! I’m so proud of them! My little logo is perfectly represented and I’m ready to plaster the world with my Rebelde HLM message.
I’m currently selling them on my little Etsy shop. But for my lovely blog readers, if you DM me your mailing address, I will send you one of my sweet Rebelde HLM stickers for FREE!

I don’t know where I’m going with all this, but for now I’m making cute stickers. We’ll see what’s next.

Once upon a time, that dude called me a “rebelde” to put me down and shame me. But to me, I wear it as a badge of honor because I don’t want to conform. I am Rebelde HLM.
