Alley Food: Whitewood Lanes

NOTE: I posted this blog a few weeks ago, but it disappeared and I’m not sure why. I found it in my drafts missing some parts. I’ll rewrite it when I get a chance.

Whitewood Lanes is Vince’s “home” bowling alley since that’s the venue for the league’s he bowls in. It’s become a really comfy place for my little family to hang out at.

Last week Vince had ordered a couple of new bowling balls and had them drilled at the pro shop inside the alley. He was really excited to go pick them up. Aria and I joined him so we could watch while he tried out his new gear. Of course, we weren’t going to pass up the opportunity for some yummy bowling alley eats!

While Vince got settled to practice, Aria and I went to order our food. Vince wanted his go-to meal of chicken nuggets, fries and a soda. I wasn’t sure what I wanted at the moment. I had a late lunch, so I wasn’t hungry for a whole meal. The girl behind the counter talked me into trying the onion rings, but said they were more like onion strings. She explained that they were the same as onion rings, but just had more of the crispy stuff. Sounded great to me!

We quickly got our food that of course, smelled amazing! Aria is a crazy picky eater. It’s difficult to get her to like stuff. She was curious about my onion rings and asked if she could dip them in ketchup? I told her that is her choice to try. She loved them! Seriously, these onion rings were so good! They had so much crispy stuff on them and were seasoned so perfectly.

The owner of Whitewood stopped by to check out how Vince’s new gear was working for him.
