20 Years

Every year on Father’s Day, Vince and I celebrate the anniversary of our very first date. This year was a little different. For starters, on that day he and Aria were traveling back home from visiting our family in New Jersey. Then, we’ve just had all sorts of stuff going on. So we really didn’t get to do anything to celebrate this milestone.

But this year marks our 20th anniversary. 20 years, ya’ll! That’s a lifetime! I think back to 2004 when we started dating, I had zero clue or direction. I seriously know that getting with Vince saved me from myself.

We’ve grown up together. We’ve been through all the growing pains. We’ve celebrated many good days. Somehow survived the bad days. And we made the cutest kid ever!

Vince lets me be. I don’t know how he puts up with me when I can’t even stand myself most days. But coming down to it, we make a great team. And I still think he’s as handsome as ever.

Way too many times I’ve been told, “He’s so quiet.” And I’m over here like, “Dude, you just don’t know.” C’mon, I’d never be with anyone boring. Vince is forever my favorite drinking buddy. We share the same disturbing sense of humor. And we have a mutual love for raunchy comedy, tacos, and mid-afternoon naps.

Of course I had to get my husband something cheeky to celebrate the occasion.

Vince’s Spanish – Te Quiero = Taquitos

So now you get to enjoy a few photos of our shenanigans!

We were drunk AF here. Hence, why he’s actually smiling.

Mr. Alexander, thank you for sticking with me (by choice!) for two decades. Pinche viejo, you’re still freakin’ hot! You’re the cheese to my macaroni, and the ham to my burger. There’s no one else in the world I’d rather share my popcorn with. Let’s be disturbingly inappropriate together for another 20 years!
